Abel Oonnoonny
President & Financial Advisor
Abel Oonnoonny has dedicated over two and a half decades to the financial services industry, holding various positions such as Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, and Regional Planning Consultant. In these roles, he has focused on comprehensive retirement, estate, and tax planning for his clients.
Abel’s primary objective is to assist clients in developing well-structured financial plans that align with their long-term objectives. He achieves this by implementing strategies that address capital gains, income, and estate tax considerations. Through these efforts, he has consistently demonstrated measurable value to his clients.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Abel is committed to community engagement. In 2022, he joined the board of the Metropolitan Opera, where he is actively involved in fostering a younger audience’s interest and support for the opera. Additionally, he is dedicated to assisting first-generation college students from his alma mater, Boston University. To this end, he has established a scholarship fund and organized workshops to provide students with insights into job opportunities in the financial services industry within New York City.
Abel is married and has three children residing on Long Island, near his childhood home.
Michael H. Rivers
Chief Investment Officer
Michael H. Rivers, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer at Eagle’s Crest Advisors since its founding in April 2025. With nearly 20 years of investment experience, he has worked as both an investment analyst and portfolio manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Space Operations from the US Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, along with the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.
Before joining Eagle’s Crest, he had a successful career as an Air Force pilot and later worked as an Equity Analyst at J.V. Bruni & Company, eventually founding his own firm, Athena Capital, where he served as President and Portfolio Manager for 15 years. Mike resides in Dublin, Ireland with his wife and daughter, and enjoys reading, traveling, and exercising.
Sonya-Cai Burrell
Client Service Coordinator
Sonya Burrell is the Client Service Coordinator at Eagle’s Crest Advisors, where she brings over a decade of experience in high-level administrative support and customer service.
She is based in Kingston. Outside of work, Sonya enjoys live music, creative design projects, and exploring new ways to help businesses grow through streamlined support.
Kash Bishop
Intern
Kash Bishop is an Intern at Eagle’s Crest Advisors. A driven undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he is pursuing a degree in Finance through the Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Kash is a former certified firefighter and founder of a nonprofit swim program for underprivileged children. He enjoys golf, ice hockey, and Boston sports in his free time.
